These quick and easy sliders combine savory turkey, tart cranberry sauce, melted Swiss cheese, and a garlic-herb butter topping on soft sweet Hawaiian rolls. Perfect for using up leftovers or a cozy weeknight dinner, they come together in under 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12-pack sweet Hawaiian rolls (e.g., King’s Hawaiian)
  • 1 ½ cups (350g) cooked turkey, shredded or thinly sliced
  • ½ cup (120g) cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 3 tablespoons (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the entire slab of 12 Hawaiian rolls in a 9×13-inch baking dish without separating them.
  2. Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the rolls in half horizontally to create one top half and one bottom half. Lift the top half off and set aside.
  3. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the cut side of the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Evenly distribute the shredded or sliced turkey over the cranberry sauce.
  5. Place the Swiss cheese slices on top of the turkey, tearing slices in half if needed to cover.
  6. Gently place the top half of the rolls back on top, cut side down, and press down lightly.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder.
  8. Brush the entire top of the rolls generously with the butter mixture. Let it soak in for a minute, then brush on any remaining butter. Sprinkle poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning evenly over the top.
  9. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-8 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the edges are slightly crispy.
  11. Let the sliders rest in the dish for 2-3 minutes before cutting along the seams of the rolls. Serve warm.

Notes

Don’t skip the foil—it traps steam to melt the cheese without burning the tops. Use room temperature turkey to ensure even heating. Let sliders rest after baking to help them hold their shape. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free sweet rolls. The recipe can be assembled ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
