Perfect for game day, parties, or any gathering, they are incredibly easy to make and disappear fast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 45 breasts)
  • 1 cup Buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot original)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 packet (about 1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12-count package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • Blue cheese or ranch dressing for serving
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, sliced pickles, crumbled blue cheese, extra hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker in a single layer. Season lightly with salt and pepper, then sprinkle garlic powder and ranch seasoning mix evenly over the top.
  2. Pour the Buffalo wing sauce over the chicken, making sure each piece gets coated. Dot the top with butter pieces and drizzle Worcestershire sauce over everything. Do not stir.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or on HIGH for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.
  4. Carefully remove the chicken to a cutting board or large bowl. Shred with two forks or use a hand mixer on low speed for about 30 seconds.
  5. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat in the sauce. Let sit on warm for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected as a whole slab. Place the bottom half on a baking sheet or serving platter.
  7. Using a slotted spoon, pile the Buffalo chicken evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. Drizzle a little extra sauce if desired, but avoid making the rolls soggy. Place the top half over the chicken.
  8. Optional: Toast the assembled sliders in a 350°F oven for 5 to 7 minutes until warm and slightly crispy.
  9. Cut into individual sliders and serve immediately with blue cheese or ranch dressing and desired toppings.

Notes

Use a slotted spoon to avoid soggy rolls. Toasting the assembled sliders helps firm up the rolls. The chicken can be made a day ahead and reheated.
