A quick and easy charcuterie board for two that comes together in under 15 minutes, featuring a curated selection of cheeses, cured meats, fruits, and crispy elements. Perfect for a romantic date night at home.

Ingredients

  • Brie or Camembert (4-6 ounces)
  • Aged Cheddar (3-4 ounces)
  • Goat Cheese Log (3-4 ounces)
  • Prosciutto (4-6 slices)
  • Salami (4-6 slices)
  • Chorizo (optional, 3-4 slices)
  • Fresh Grapes (1 cup)
  • Apple or Pear (1, sliced)
  • Dried Figs or Apricots (1/2 cup)
  • Honey or Fig Jam (2-3 tablespoons)
  • Artisan Crackers (about 20)
  • Baguette Slices (1/2 baguette)
  • Marcona Almonds (1/2 cup)
  • Fresh Herbs (rosemary or thyme sprigs)
  • Olives (1/4 cup)
  • Dark Chocolate (2-3 squares)

Instructions

  1. Start with the cheese (5 minutes): Take your cheeses out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before you plan to serve. Arrange them on the board at different points—brie in the center-left, cheddar at the top right, goat cheese at the bottom left. Cut a few slices of each cheese in advance.
  2. Add the meats (3 minutes): Fold or roll your cured meats and place them near the cheeses. Drape prosciutto in loose ribbons, fold salami into triangles. Place them in small clusters near complementary cheeses.
  3. Fill in with fruits and accompaniments (3 minutes): Place small bowls of jam, honey, olives, and nuts in empty spaces. Scatter fresh fruit—grapes in clusters, apple slices near cheddar, dried figs in gaps. Fill the board so it looks abundant but not crowded.
  4. Add the crispy elements (2 minutes): Arrange crackers and baguette slices around the board, creating small ‘cracker nests’ near each cheese. Use 5-6 crackers per pile.
  5. Garnish and finish (2 minutes): Tuck sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme into bare spots. Drizzle honey over brie or goat cheese. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over soft cheeses if desired.
  6. Serve immediately (0 minutes): Place the board in the center of your table or coffee table. Add two plates, two napkins, and two glasses of wine.

Notes

Take cheese out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Balance textures and flavors. Add personal touches like a favorite chocolate or specific cheese. Embrace imperfection—the board doesn’t have to be perfect.
