These Easy Slow Cooker Grape Jelly Meatballs are the perfect party appetizer—tender, sticky, sweet, and savory all at once. With just a few ingredients and a slow cooker, you can create a crowd-pleasing dish that disappears first at any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs frozen homestyle meatballs
  • 1 ½ cups (18 oz jar) grape jelly
  • 1 ½ cups (12 oz bottle) chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley or sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grape jelly, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Whisk until the jelly is mostly dissolved and the sauce is a uniform deep red color.
  2. Place the frozen meatballs directly into the bowl of a 5-6 quart slow cooker. Pour the prepared sauce over the meatballs and gently toss to coat evenly.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, or on high for 2 to 3 hours. Stir gently halfway through cooking.
  4. Check for doneness: meatballs should be heated through and the sauce thick, glossy, and sticky. If sauce is too thin, leave the lid slightly ajar for the last 30 minutes to thicken.
  5. Switch slow cooker to ‘warm’ setting for serving. Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired. Serve with toothpicks or small forks.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water and stir into sauce 30 minutes before serving. For a spicier version, add ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes or 1 tablespoon sriracha. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
